Noklus is a national non-profit organization that provides quality improvement services for point-of-care testing. We offer External Quality Assessment (EQA) programs to all Norwegian General Practitioner (GP) practices, hospital- and private medical laboratories, nursing homes and other health care  institutions. We organize educational courses (about 700 each year with 7000 participants) and provide counselling to health care providers in primary health care. In addition we host an annual meeting in Clinical Chemistry for Biomedical laboratory scientists and Specialists in laboratory medicine in secondary health care. We provide services to approximately 3500 participating sites. 

Activities available to international participants

  • Percentiler- and Flagger programs
    We offer The Percentiler- and Flagger programs using patient medians to about 150 national and international participants.

  • Scandinavian evaluation of laboratory equipment for point of care testing (SKUP)
    SKUP is a Scandinavian collaboration that evaluates laboratory equipment for point of care testing. The office of SKUP is located at Noklus in Bergen, Norway. Participating organizations in SKUP are: DEKS in Denmark, Equalis in Sweden and Noklus in Norway - www.skup.org
